DairyCrest Managing Director, Mike Sheldon joined us for lunch and was a little apprehensive on arrival. Many of the delegates felt the same way when they first arrived as the venue is so very different to a traditional conference space. They understood how the venue aligned to our Anything but Vanilla campaign though and by the end of the day, 90% of our attendees said that the venue’s interior and macabre theming had grown on them and they no longer felt uncomfortable.
Although I’ve been using Venues and Events International’s venue sourcing expertise for a while, this was their first conference for us from an event management perspective. It went exceptionally well and the feedback we’ve had from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive. We found the team to be very professional, highly organised and exceptionally hard working - both in the run-up to the event, during and post-event. We’re already planning our 2018 IFB Conference with Venues and Events International so I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
I’ve used Venues and Events International for several years now in its various guises so I’m always confident they’ll deliver an exceptional event in a venue that matches my brief. Once again, they didn’t let me down. It was fantastic that the whole of the new UK ENGIE board were in attendance and could see what a great job they did. Both staff and board had a great night and the feedback has been superb.
The whole day was a great success and the sports day element worked seamlessly. Venues and Events International were brilliant and it certainly wouldn’t have been as slick an operation if they hadn’t been with us onsite for the duration. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing all day as they took care of every detail and made sure it all ran smoothly. Venues and Events sourced all the suppliers and even built our delegate registration website for us. They managed the registration process of all 450 guests which was such a help. They were amazing and we would definitely use them again.
Venues and Events International gave us a collection of venue options for this event, which resulted in the selection and securing of the Institution of Civil Engineers at One Great George Street on our behalf. It was the ideal venue for us as it’s within close proximity of the Houses of Parliament, so allowed politicians to attend the morning session without straying too far from the Chamber. It was also well located for our customer network travelling in to London for the event. Running the same event for two different audiences consecutively brought some challenges, but also some efficiency and ultimately worked incredibly well for us. Part of the works included building a custom stage, bespoke display stands and full AV support. This complex setup was delivered to tight deadlines, alongside our in-house design team.
I can’t thank you enough for all the help you gave in making this such a successful event, I’ve had some great feedback. Until we managed to get you on the case, I really had given up hope of ever finding the right venue for this. As you know so well, Mike’s events are never straightforward and it shows just how important it is to have an agency that doesn’t just come up with the same old venues from a web-search, but actually knows venues and has visited them! Thank you also for being around on the first day to settle everyone in, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. What would we do without you!
You made sure everything worked in the manner I wanted it to and I was really impressed by the way you controlled the event on site, managing every single detail to make sure nothing was overlooked.
