Venues and Events International, the Swindon-based venue find and event management agency is proud to be one of 25 organisations supporting Swindon’s Dying Well Community Charter.

Launched in 2016 by Prospect Hospice, Swindon’s Dying Well Community Charter encourages a community-wide approach to support people who are affected by dying, and identifies simple steps employers can take to demonstrate their commitment to supporting their staff and their loved ones.

Venues and Events International are one of 25 businesses signed up to the Charter, and is committed to working together to support their employees, the community they live in, people with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers. It provides support for those who are bereaved, and gives access to bereavement and compassionate leave policies.

Laura Law, Conference Director for Venues and Events International said this about joining the charter: “It’s so important for us as a team to get involved with local initiatives. Many of us have grown up in the Swindon area, and for us to give back to community, where many of us have been affected by the loss of a loved one, gives value in what we do in our daily lives.

As part of the initiative we are ensuring that all of our staff have access to information and support whenever they may need it. We’re also offering our corporate volunteering services and very much look forward to continuing to support the wonderful Prospect Hospice.”

Anita Lowe, CEO of Venues and Events International continues with: “CSR is such an important initiative within any business, and as a growing company we came together as a team to look at how we wanted to contribute back to the community. This Charter, like us, is in its early years and we want to help raise their awareness not only locally, but nationwide, by promoting future initiatives we organise to our clients.”
