The Venues and Events International journey began more than 30 years ago when Anita and Chris Lowe formed their own agency specialising in event management and venue finding services – Venues Event Management.
Venues Event Management was a hugely successful company. They managed a wide-ranging portfolio of clients and were six-time winners of the Meetings and Incentive Travel Awards (M&IT) for Best Intermediary Agency – an award voted solely by clients.
Due to it's success and changes within the business, Venues Event Management was acquired by Expotel in 2010 and became part of the Expotel group, a great relationship. Within 2 years, Expotel Group was acquired by Capita and thus formed part of Capita Travel and Events.
After a period of integration with Capita, Anita and Chris decided to go back to their core values and open an agency that focused on consultative and innovative boutique events agency.
Since going back to their core values as Venues and Events International, we have been listed as one of Conference and Incentive Travel (C&IT) Magazine’s ‘Agencies to Watch’, finalists for the M&IT Award for ‘Best Intermediary Agency (under 40 employees) and won bronze for 'Sporting Event of the Year at the 2016 EVCOM Awards for Bidwells’ Carnival of Sport'.
