The Winchester summer evening sunshine and the beautiful terrace at Lainston House Hotel combined to form the perfect setting for hosting a lovely team of EAs from Allied Bakeries recently.
We invited them along for a glass of bubbles and a catch-up on all the latest meetings and events news from the 63-acre estate.
Lainston House’s Dominique Edmonds provided a superb tour of the five-star country house and showed our guests eight diverse meeting rooms, 50 sumptuous bedrooms and suites, a top of the range cookery school with its own informal dining area and meeting space, plus a kitchen garden and falconry centre.
As the evening went on we enjoyed an interactive dinner in Season, Lainston’s cookery school, housed in a renovated 17th century well house, with the fabulous Silvain Gachot executive chef.
Our guests got to make scrummy beef burgers and were given free rein to mix their own seasoning and spices – all topped off in a brioche bun with crispy bacon, cheese, garden fresh salad and a side of the naughtiest triple cooked chips! For dessert we were treated to a rich Nutella mouse – calorie free of course!
A fantastic evening was had by all with the Season cookery school being a real highlight!
Holly Dunham-Shortt – Allied Bakeries said: “Thank you so much for organising yesterday – we had such a fabulous time! Dominque and Sylvain were great.”
