Conference Planning Executive

Venues and Events International are on the search for an individual that delivers high levels of internal and external customer service to be part of our energising and inspiring conference venue-finding team.

As a Conference Planning Executive you will be required to manage client enquiries from initial enquiry through to completion of booking. Negotiate the best rates on behalf of clients and prioritise workloads and support the team in order to fulfill client needs.

You'll be expected to maximise all product knowledge opportunities by hosting suppliers visiting the office, accompanying clients on site inspections, attending external product knowledge days and attending trade shows.

Key skills
  • An understanding of venue finding and events
  • Event management experience desirable, not essential
  • Negotiating skills
  • Worldwide venue & destination knowledge desirable, not essential

  • PC literacy including Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Supply Chain and Marketing Co-ordinator – part time (18.5hrs per week)

Venues and Events International requires a well organised individual to help send marketing campaigns to hotels and venues that require closer working relationships with us. There is an element of selling these in early stages. You will look after the portfolio you build.

There will some but limited cold calling to hotels to get appointments. This will be no more than 20% of the role.

You will be able to use Microsoft Office to a good level as there is a lot of co-ordination and commutation required when booking and confirming meetings.

You will support the Procurement Director with co-ordination of commercial contracts and you will own the booking of hotels and visits to our premises.
