Visiting venues is useful to us in many ways from expanding our knowledge to improving the agency venue relationship. At Venues and Events International, when we execute any event, it is absolutely vital that all aspects are perfectly suited to the brief right from when we propose a venue.

We are constantly looking to expand our knowledge so that the service we provide is an unbeatable one and last week we were invited to IHG’s London Educational Day. Junior Event Manager, Olivia Unsworth shares her insights into her day with IHG…

InterContinental Park Lane

In this stunning venue, not only can they cater for up to 700 theatre or ballroom style, they have some their on site restaurants for a more intimate or themed event. The Mexican restaurant, called ‘Ella Canta,’ which means ‘she sings’ and is by one of only five female Mexican chefs. The Italian restaurant is by Theo Randall where is most famous for his pasta dishes – so much so, they only have one pizza dish on their menu!

Crowne Plaza London – The City

This venue was amazing and really exceeded all our expectations. They have their Club Lounge which is accessible  for delegates staying in the suites which has a fantastic view over the city. Insider tip: People can take another person in the Club Lounge who isn’t a resident if they want an area for a semi private meeting.

Holiday Inn London Bloomsbury

This hotel have stations outside their meeting rooms which aims to make delegates feel more at home and comfortable within their surroundings. They look great and during our visit we saw plenty of people using them – clearly a popular feature.
