Swindon based venue find and event management agency, Venues and Events International are strengthening their team due to confidence in event bookings for 2021.
The meetings and events industry has been hugely impacted over the last 12 months, with events swiftly moving online and event management agencies having to re-engineer their services. However, the start of 2021, Venues and Events International has seen confidence in live events come back, with a significant increase in enquiries for Q3 and Q4 this year. With the recent announcement that all social restrictions will be lifted from 21st June, Venues and Events International anticipate further increased confidence in live events. As a result, the Company has been planning ahead, ensuring they continue to have a strong team in place to deliver these events.
Reaching out to the wider industry through their LinkedIn, Venues and Events International were amazed by the fantastic response from people who applied for a position within their events team.
Anita Lowe, CEO of Venues and Events International commented on the response: “We are excited for what the future of live events has in store for us. With the increase in enquiries, we are in a fortunate position to strengthen our events team, and it was lovely to see such a positive response from the wider industry to want to join our team.
“It’s important that whoever joins our team, now or in the future, understands our Company values and is attentive to the needs of our Clients and supportive of the team. For that reason, I’m delighted to be welcoming back Michaela Isted into the family. Having worked with Michaela previously, I am confident that her strong work ethic and determination to deliver quality events will be of huge value.”
Michaela Isted shares her delight on her return: “’I’m very excited to return to Venues and Events International and see how the Company has evolved over the past five years. There will be a lot of change in how events are managed moving forward. Even with restrictions being lifted, new guidelines and risk assessments will need to be put in place as we work with Clients to bring back delegates into a live event environment. I know the team have been actively engaging with Clients on this and I can’t wait to be part of putting a spark back into events.”
Anita was so encouraged by the response. Although candidates may not have been suitable for the current roles available, it has helped build their portfolio for future positions. “We took the time to talk to each of the applicants and were conscious to ensure we responded to each of them. On one occasion, our role wasn’t suitable for one candidate, but I was aware of another position with a different company where I was able to make relevant introductions to support them with their career options.
“I believe our industry will now come back fighting, stronger than ever. I can’t wait to share news when there’s new opportunities to join our team, which I hope won’t be far away.”
