March 23rd marked one year since we entered lockdown where our world as we know it was turned upside down. Whilst we’re looking forward to meeting people again and the return of live events in the coming months, we thought we’d do our own reflection one year on what we’ve achieved in the last 12 months.

Events

Just because we’ve been in lockdown and unable to hold face-to-face meetings, our clients still had a communication and events programme to deliver. By re-engineering our services, we successfully turned many of our live events into a virtual concept and even offered engagement solutions for their own employees.

  • 30 virtual events.
  • 32 virtual team building activities.
  • 7 live events.
  • 752 hampers sent out.
  • 2975 delegates supported for a travel project we are working on for COVID HSSE.

Employee engagement

Employee engagement has been even more important for us with the team working remotely. We’ve held some fantastic virtual events to ensure we have regular engagement activities for us to continue our strong work ethos.

  • 31 team members in the business today.
  • 4 personalised gifts sent to employees (Movie night sweet box.  Queens Jubilee 2020 – Afternoon Tea. Christmas 2020 – Box of chocolates. Valentines 2021 – Heart shaped cookie).
  • 20 events for our team (Escape rooms, Globe Trotters, Cinema Drive in Event, Prosecco Friday, Coffee and Chat’s, Secret Santa, Quiz Nights).
  • 4 employees took part in Beat the Boss against Nicola Reynolds on BBC Radio Wiltshire – the Boss won!

Internal Projects

There’s always those jobs or tasks that need to be completed ‘when you’ve got time’. We have maximised our time in lockdown to complete those projects we kept putting off.

  • 28 internal projects completed.

Communication and Education

We desperately miss seeing each other, our suppliers and of course our clients, face-to-face and we pride ourselves on our level of communication and our client educational events. During lockdown, we made it a priority to ensure these levels remained high and that at every stage, clients were fully informed of new guidance and initiatives.  To achieve this, we held…

Employee training

Training certainly hasn’t fallen off our radar. We’ve taken the opportunity for additional training courses to ensure we’re providing further reassurance to our clients that we’re Covid-ready for when live events return.

  • 63 venue and supplier training to employees.
  • 43 internal training completed. 
  • 9 external training completed (Cvent Events / Cvent Venue Find / COVID HSSE).

We continue to strive to improve our business processes for the better of clients and our employees and work towards accreditations and people development programmes. This year we have…

3 employees, 4 training courses, PDP with monthly training.

CSR

We have remained proactive to ensure we meet our objectives in Corporate Social Responsibility through our charity work, green initiatives and supporting students to gain valuable work experience across multiple areas of the business.
