Each suite at The Dorchester offers pure luxury. From the moment you enter the hotel, the service is second to none. It certainly provides for a special, attentive experience. Guests are served by impeccable hotel butlers, who are all trained to a royal standard. The hotel even has its own Rolls Royce which can be used to transport guests. As well as all of this, one of two original pianos owned by Liberace is housed within the hotel close by to meeting space, making a great talking point for guests.
The Dorchester has five different restaurants: The Grill, Alain Ducasse, The Spatisserie, The Promenade, and China Tang. It also has three bars, two of which can be found in The Promenade and China Tang. The restaurant styles vary from the warm comfort food of The Grill to the Michelin 3-Star Alain Ducasse. And, despite the hotel having an in-house florist, Alain Ducasse will not allow any flowers in his restaurant. A chef’s table experience is available within the kitchen, within a private space that seats up to 12 people. Also, private dining can be offered in the beautiful penthouse suite which has its own balcony with a stunning water feature, overlooking the sights of London.
The hotel is also dog friendly, as they believe our furry friends deserve a little luxury too. Dogs are welcomed with a comfy bed, dog bowl, and tasty treats throughout their visit. Pet sitters can also be arranged, for guests who prefer to leave their pets at the hotel.
I love this venue because despite it being one of the most prestigious 5-star hotels in London, I instantly feel relaxed and at ease upon entering the hotel. The staff are warm and friendly, and the ambiance is relaxed. The Promenade where breakfast and afternoon tea are taken is one of the first areas that you see, and this is vibrant and adorned with beautiful seasonal flowers. As well, the bedrooms are beautiful and really are pure luxury. The meeting space is versatile and characterful. Afternoon teas at the hotel is an experience not to be missed, neither are the cocktails! The bar manager Guiliano has been a member of the bar staff for 40 years!!
