This week’s venue spotlight, specially chosen by Amber, is the Unique Venues Birmingham (UVB) conference centre. This multi award-winning venue is situated in the heart of Birmingham with close access to Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill.
UVB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham Repertory Theatre Ltd, jointly governed by Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Birmingham City Council. It is a commercial venture between Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the Library of Birmingham to exploit the excellent conferencing and hospitality opportunities offered within the shared building on Centenary Square in the centre of the city. UVB combines the best of both to provide a memorable venue for all kinds of events of all shapes and sizes.
The venue consists of a range of high quality conference rooms, with 21 meeting room which all benefit from natural daylight and a view over Centenary Square. The Theatre Auditoria’s are three separate auditoria, with the largest of the three having a maximum capacity of 825. The Book rotunda and the Shakespeare Memorial suite both offer iconic settings for gala dinners and exclusive events. There is also the Discovery Terrace – this beautiful garden terrace is a perfectly relaxed location
Accommodation from the venue is all within walking distance, with hotels such as Crowne Plaza, IBIS, Hilton and Jury’s Inn all nearby. Being located within Birmingham’s City Centre has its perks with some of its best bars and social scenes all nearby.
This venue can cater to any clients needs, whether it’s a conference for a high number of delegates, or a small private dinner (Their Library room proving popular for this).
