This week our Venue Spotlight was chosen by Emma, and takes us to The Grove in Hertfordshire.
The Grove is a 5-star country property located off the M25 and sits just outside London. The hotel is set in 300 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. It was restored from the former home of the Earls of Clarendon and retains the luxury homely feel.
Each bedroom in the hotel has a luxury, cosy feel. Some of their rooms are dog friendly so your furry friends don’t have to miss out on the fun. Also, in the hotel grounds guests can find a Walled Garden. This is open during summer and features an outdoor pool with a beach area.
The Grove’s meeting and event spaces are filled with natural daylight. They have a variety of rooms that can host from 12 to 450 delegates. Their Walled Garden space can also be used for quirky outdoor events.
There are plenty of great choices for dining in the hotel. The Glasshouse serves international food in a food-hall style layout. Guests can watch the amazing chefs prepare their dishes before sampling it for themselves. There are plenty of other restaurants such as The Stables, Sushi in the Lounges and Sequoia Kitchen for guests to choose from. Emma can vouch that the food at The Grove is fantastic.
I love the event spaces, as well as the decoration and artwork around the garden and black tiled swimming pool. I have helped to run events there on a few occasions, each time the service was exceptional. The venue made the events feel individual and just as important as any other that may take place there at the same time. On past site visits, I happened to see the FA there for their meeting as well as Chris Hemsworth and family for a stay!
